If you're the sort who is desperate for love, who wants a knight in shining condoms to appear on the horison and enter (uh huh) your life, thus magically making you happy and (gasp) complete, then I am not the man for you. If you're the kind who feels that you will never (back of the hand against the forehead, eyes down, a pitiful sigh) never find love - who has been hurt, bruised, fractured and scarred by previous relationships and you're too scared to trust or open up, spending each day replaying the past over and over again; if you're the type who buys kleenex solely to wipe your eyes- then you are not the man for me.If you believe happiness lies in the pursuit and the finding of true love and that nothing else matters, then you are probably the type who believes that Mr Right should be the lovechild of Mr Forever and Mr Perfect ... and I am too flawed to aspire to such dizzying standards and am likely to break your heart... |
In A Perfect World...
Let's wrestle like sumos,
let's frolic like first-timers here on the dune;
Let's samba on the beach of our deliciousness,
to the beat of an old jazz tune...
let's tonguedance the funky tango
and make this night end way too soon;
let's fumble like fornicating teenagers,
let's fingerfuck the moon.
Let's write poetry with our bodies,
and writhe to rack and ruin,
let's squeeze all the juice from this moment,
this us -
and wake, tomorrow ...at noon. |
