Cosmonaut
Cradled in dangers
Orbiting a garden universe
Snipping cosmos, probing Venus,
Sighting summer's end blindly,
Weightily weightless
Spinning out of reach,

Signaling strangers
Who Am I?
The trees ask me,
And the sky,
And the sea asks me

My Eternal Dilemma...
I myself
met me face to face at a crossroads.
I saw in my face
a stubborn expression, and a hardness
in the eyes, like
a man who would stop at nothing.
The road was narrow, and I said to me:
Stand aside, let
me pass,
for I have to get to such and such a place.
But I was weak, and my enemy
fell upon me with all the weight of my flesh
and I was left defeated in the ditch.
That's the way it happened, and I never could
reach that place. |
