My Mum Says...
...really stupid jokes. Then she repeats it when no-one laughs, as if you might not have got it the first time. Regardless of the inevitable blank looks on the faces of those within earshot my mother will then crack up. At this point a look between siblings is generally the cue for us to burst into our own fits of hysterics, never laughing with her, always at her.
This might sound sad to some but my Mum made us all laugh.
