I need to go later in the year next time, Alcatraz was very interesting and it was fun going wine tasting in the vineyards. | | | | | Lucky charm | wrote | | | Everyone said that one of the places to visit in Hong Kong was the jade market. I thought it would be a stall but it was actually a liittle shop up some stairs. I thought it would be cheap but it was actually quite expensive. I treated myself to a necklace with a pendant comprising a jade circle with a Chinese good luck symbol fashioned in gold inside. It must have worked because Man U won the Chanpions League and even as an ardent fan, I cannot deny that we were lucky :-) | | | | | Back from Hong Kong | wrote | | | Well I am back and not sure what day it is lol It was really interesting and I am so glad I went. However, it was reather disconcerting to see so many people wearing smog masks even though they were obviously on a date. I got up one morning at 4.30 am hopefully to watch the sun rise over Kowloon bay but the sun never made it through the haze and it just got light.
