| In my own words
There is no reason to hold on to the past he thought, for to hold on to the past is to hinder the progression of today, and to hinder the progression of today is to slow the movement of the future. isn't it the future that we are all striving to attain. when does what we do in the present moment matter for it's own sake; I think that it seems as though we are constantly preparing for something, some event maybe, that is set to happen in the future, but when? but what? how can we be prepared when we don't know for what it is that we should be preparing for? the only future event that is inevitable is death, and that is certainly not what we are preparing for by getting jobs, going to school, building families, making money buying SUV's. |
In A Perfect World...
Apathy is the solution. I mean, it's easier to lose yourself in drugs than it is to cope with life. It's easier to steal what you want than it is to earn it. It's easier to beat a child than it is to raise it. Hell, love costs: it takes effort and work. Sommerset from the movie Se7en. |
