| In my own words
Close your eyes my love, count to three. Think of all the things you've seen... Staring eyes through the pouring rain, I'll never go back there again they pity me & I pity them... Tires slip over slick asphalt, so strange it has become this. As if covered with ice the child shivers, she's just scared & alone, though I stand by her side... But she's elsewhere in a place I cannot find. It's funny I've been there, go there all the time, but I can't save her life or mine... All hope is lost so that others might find it & again I am alone, I failed the child that sleeps in a world all her own. Goodnight, goodbye, I love you... Sweet dreams my love, sweet dreams. For this & every night is a barren mistress & you may do with her what you will, without a single fear of responsibility in life. As for death, it shall come to us all anyway, just beware, if you do value life, she truly is no giver of it, thieves hide in her shadows... |
In A Perfect World...
I'd see some of my greatest fears leap from the intangible land of my nightmares into the waking world and I wouldn't care... I might even be grateful... |
