I'm old enough to know better, yet young enough to do it anyway! I'm studying IT, Multimedia & Web Design - which is kind of a dorky degree in some peoples' eyes, but hey, I actually couldn't give a flying...yeah! You see, everyone tries or claims to not let what people think or say bother/affect them but it always does. When you stop caring what people think of you, you stop caring what kind of person you are 'True self is only ever reflected through the eyes of others!' as the saying goes! The important thing is that we don't let what people think or say about us affect us negatively!
